I stopped by the new location of Coronado Brewing Company on Knoxville St in Bay Park on Saturday night. My friends and I really enjoyed ourselves and the fantastic beer on tap. The tasting area is large. However, people tend to belly up to the bar and hang out making it difficult for others to order. They need a sign like the one at Societe that urges people to order at the bar, then keep moving. Also I was rather shocked at the high prices at Coronado. $2 for a taster? $5-$6 bucks for a pint? I always thought (perhaps wrongly) the whole point of having a tasting room is to get potential new customers to try your beer. Tasters at Home Brew Mart a couple of blocks away are a buck for world renowned brews. I would like to see brews reward loyal and potential new customers with better prices when we schlep down to your brewery rather than to the competition.
