On December 6 brewers Daniel Cady and Matt Patterson from Manzanita and Ryan Brooks from Coronado joined San Diego Brewing Co’s (SDBC) Jeff Drum for a collaboration brew day.
The group created 7.5 barrels (normal system yield is 9 barrels) of a big 10.25% ABV imperial stout called Play Date which will be released on an undetermined date in January.
SDBC is starting to get their beers out in the marketplace, with two kegs of Infinitude IPA recently gracing the taps at Live Wire.
UPDATE: Play Date will be released tomorrow, Friday 1/3, at San Diego Brewing Co. at 4 p.m. for happy hour; on Saturday, Coronado’s brewpub will tap a 1/2 barrel of the beer.
