ChuckAlek “Archives” Series

January 14, 2014 By Ryan Lamb

Every month this year ChuckAlek Independent Brewers in Ramona will release a porter or stout-style beer based on recipes dating from 1804 to 1933.

Each limited release will be available at ChuckAlek, Urge Gastropub in Rancho Bernardo, Plan 9 Alehouse in Escondido, and Monkey Paw Pub & Brewery.

The beers are being brewed with the help of beer historian Ron Pattinson, who will be traveling to San Diego in the spring.

UPDATE: January’s beer is called 1850 Runner, a 6.3% ABV, 62 IBU beer. You can read all the details about the beer here. February’s beer is called 1890 Double Stout.
