San Diego Brewers Earn 18 Medals at the 2016 Great American Beer Festival

In a fantastic showing, San Diego Brewers earned 18 medals at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado. There were 8 Gold, 3 Silver, and 7 Bronze Medals earned by our local brewers at the 2016 awards ceremony. Karl Strauss stood out, claiming not only 4 medals but also the 2016 Mid-Size Brewery / Brewer of the Year.

Category 96, Barley Wine-Style Ale: Old Numbskull by AleSmith Brewing Co.

Category 8, Chili Beer: The Contender by Duck Foot Brewing Co.

    Seems as if you neglected at least one. Bagby Beer Company won Gold in Category 41, Bohemian-Style Pilsener, for “Sweet Ride.”
